The Inbox Ledger is an independent publication that reviews email marketing software for small businesses — in plain English, with numbers first and marketing hype last.
Who operates this site
The Inbox Ledger is written and edited by Rachel Kim. One person, one standard: if a claim can’t be verified, it doesn’t go in a review.
Our mission
Email marketing software is sold with big promises — “10x your revenue,” “AI that writes for you,” “99.9% deliverability.” Small businesses deserve better than slogans. Our mission is to compare platforms on what actually matters: real pricing at real subscriber counts, feature limits, and the fine print vendors hope you skip.
How our content is created
- Research-based reviews. Every review starts from the vendor’s official pricing pages, documentation, and terms of service — not press releases.
- Pricing verified from official pages. Plan prices, subscriber tiers, and overage fees are checked against the vendor’s own site and dated. Prices change; we say when we last checked.
- No fake hands-on claims. We never pretend to have tested software we haven’t. When a conclusion comes from documentation or user reports instead of direct testing, we say so.
- No sponsored rankings. Vendors cannot pay for placement, scores, or favorable reviews. Some links are affiliate links — clearly disclosed — and they never influence rankings.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix them fast and note the correction. Found an error? Email info@bestemailmarketingsoftware.site — corrections are our favorite kind of mail.
