Reviews are only useful if you can trust how they’re made. Here’s exactly how The Inbox Ledger researches, ranks, and corrects its content.
1. Our research method
- Start with the vendor’s own pages. Pricing, plan limits, and feature lists are taken from official pricing pages and documentation — and dated.
- Read the fine print. Overage fees, sending limits, “unlimited” asterisks, and trial restrictions live in terms of service. We read them so you don’t have to.
- Check against user reports. We cross-reference with aggregated user reviews and support-forum complaints to catch the gap between marketing and reality.
- No fake hands-on claims. We never invent testing we didn’t do. When a finding comes from documentation or user reports, the article says so.
2. How we score and rank
Rankings weigh five factors: true cost at common list sizes (not just the starter price), feature depth vs. the marketing, ease of use for non-technical teams, automation capability, and support quality. Price transparency counts — vendors that hide pricing behind “contact sales” lose points.
3. No sponsored rankings
Vendors cannot pay for placement, scores, reviews, or comparisons. Full stop. Some outbound links are affiliate links (clearly disclosed, and they cost you nothing extra) — but commission rates never influence rankings. If a high-paying vendor has a worse product, it ranks worse.
4. Updates
Pricing tables are re-checked against official vendor pages regularly; significant plan changes trigger a review update. Each article shows its last-updated date.
5. Corrections policy
We publish corrections promptly and transparently. Substantive fixes get a dated correction note at the top of the article. Report errors to info@bestemailmarketingsoftware.site with a source link — verified corrections are typically published within 3 business days.
